WOODSTOCK TENNESSEE

Woodstock Tennessee is located 11 miles north of Central Station and 15 miles north of Johnston Yard via the Passenger Main and the LA Belt respectively. Industries located at Woodstock include E. I. Dupont, PCS Nitrogen, and ICI Acrylics.

The Illinois Central Executive Train was captured in this photo at Woodstock on September 24, 1999. The train was being deadheaded on I03 to Memphis, where the IC cars were to be on display at Central Station for the Open House on September 25th and 26th. The remainder of the train was destined to Johnston Yard, where on September 28th, the train was to be re-assembled and run as a Director's Special to New Orleans. When this photo was taken, I03's units and the Executive Train were uncoupled from the rest of I03's consist and were enroute to push a grain train which had stalled  ahead of I03 on the LA Belt.

GP-38 sits beside the Woodstock office, awaiting it's assignment on the Woodstock Switcher.
